  30 <P><STRONG>Description</STRONG>
  31 <P>The <B>fs messages</B> command controls whether the Cache Manager
  32 displays status and warning messages on user screens, the client machine
  33 console, on both, or on neither.
  34 <P>There are two types of Cache Manager messages:
  35 <UL>
  36 <P><LI>User messages provide user-level status and warning information, and the
  37 Cache Manager directs them to user screens.
  38 <P><LI>Console messages provide system-level status and warning information, and
  39 the Cache Manager directs them to the client machine's designated
  40 console.
  41 </UL>
  42 <P>Disabling messaging completely is not recommended, because the messages
  43 provide useful status and warning information.
  44 <P><STRONG>Options</STRONG>

  47 </B><DD>Specifies the types of messages to display. Choose one of the
  48 following values:

  51 </B><DD>Send user messages to user screens

  55 </B><DD>Send user messages to user screens and console messages to the console
  56 (the default if the <B>-show</B> argument is omitted)

  58 </B><DD>Do not send any messages to user screens or the console

  61 </B><DD>Prints the online help for this command. All other valid options
  62 are ignored.

  65 <P>The following command instructs the Cache Manager to display both types of
