<title>Description</title>
<para>The <emphasis role="bold">bos getdate</emphasis> command displays the time stamps on the current
version,<computeroutput> .BAK</computeroutput> version (if any) and <computeroutput>.OLD</computeroutput> version (if any) of each
binary file named by the <emphasis role="bold">-file</emphasis> argument. (The BOS Server automatically
creates <computeroutput>.BAK</computeroutput> and <computeroutput>.OLD</computeroutput> versions when new binaries are installed with
the <emphasis role="bold">bos install</emphasis> command.) The files must reside in the <replaceable>/usr/afs/bin</replaceable>
directory on the server machine named by the <emphasis role="bold">-server</emphasis> argument unless
the <emphasis role="bold">-dir</emphasis> argument indicates an alternate directory.</para>
<para>To revert to the <computeroutput>.BAK</computeroutput> version of a binary, use the <emphasis role="bold">bos uninstall</emphasis>
command. To remove obsolete binary files from the <replaceable>/usr/afs/bin</replaceable>
directory, use the <emphasis role="bold">bos prune</emphasis> command.</para>

<term><emphasis role="bold">-server</emphasis> <<emphasis>machine name</emphasis>></term>
<para>Indicates the server machine from which to list binary files. Identify

<para>Names each binary file to list.</para>
<term><emphasis role="bold">-dir</emphasis> <<emphasis>destination dir</emphasis>></term>
<para>Specifies the complete pathname of the local disk directory containing

<term><emphasis role="bold">-cell</emphasis> <<emphasis>cell name</emphasis>></term>
<para>Names the cell in which to run the command. Do not combine this argument

<title>Output</title>
<para>For each file specified with the -file argument, the output displays the
time stamp on the current (unmarked), <computeroutput>.BAK</computeroutput>, and <computeroutput>.OLD</computeroutput> version. The
output explicitly reports that a version does not exist, rather than
simply omitting it.</para>
