  12 <p>The OpenAFS plug-in allows you to start or stop the AFS
  13 client service, determine the installed version,  and invoke the AFS
  14 Control Panel.  This is provided via the AFS configuration panel in
  15 the NetIDMgr configuration dialog, as seen below:

  20 <p>Depending on the status of the service, either the <span
  21 class="pre">Stop service</span> or the <span class="pre">Start
  22 service</span> buttons will be enabled.  If the service is in a state
  23 where it will not accept these control requests, then both buttons will
  24 be disabled.

  27 <p>The <span class="pre">Version</span> field and the <span
  28 class="pre">Company</span> fields are populated based on the resources
  29 found in the <span class="pre">afsd_service.exe</span> binary.  This
  30 is the main binary that provides the AFS client service.  Unless the
  31 build of OpenAFS that you have installed is a private build, the
  32 version should correspond to the release of OpenAFS that is installed
  33 on your machine.</p>

  35 <p>Clicking the <span class="pre">Open AFS Control Panel...</span>
  36 will open the AFS configuration utility.</p>
