+ <title>Description</title>
+ <para>The <replaceable>AuthLog.dir</replaceable> and <replaceable>AuthLog.pag</replaceable> files record a trace of privileged
+ operations performed by the Authentication Server (<emphasis role="bold">kaserver</emphasis> process) on
+ the local machine. If the files do not exist when the Authentication
+ Server starts, it creates them in the <replaceable>/usr/afs/logs</replaceable> directory as
+ necessary.</para>
+
+ <para>The files are in binary format. To display their contents, use the <emphasis role="bold">kdb</emphasis>
+ command, which requires being logged in to the local machine as the local
+ superuser <computeroutput>root</computeroutput>.</para>
